Fair Use Policy

Please read this document carefully.

1. Purpose

This Fair Use Policy is designed to ensure fair and reasonable use of the Teachable platform so that all members of our community can enjoy a great experience. All accounts are subject to this policy and may also incur additional usage costs described in our usage fees page.

As a guideline for our community, we expect the vast majority of users to fall comfortably within their plan's included usage ranges — especially those who sell through Teachable. This policy exists to maintain equitable access to the Platform's resources for everyone.

2. What Teachable Does Not Limit

We want you to grow without worrying about caps on the things that matter most. The following are unlimited on every plan:

  • Sales: Teachable does not limit the number of sales on the Platform. Sell as much as you want.
  • Traffic: There are no limitations on the amount of traffic your school receives per month.

3. Usage Ranges

To maintain Platform performance and ensure equitable access for all users, plans include usage ranges that are described in the pricing page and in the Usage Fees page. We expect you to use the Platform in a manner consistent with your plan, and we encourage you to reach out if you anticipate your needs growing beyond these ranges.

4. What happens if I cross my limits?

Teachable may restrict your access or charge you usage fees

5. Do I have any other limitations?

In addition to the usage ranges, you must use our Services reasonably and in good faith. This means you cannot use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to scrape data or overload our systems, and you must avoid any activity that might degrade the Platform's performance for the rest of the Teachable community. The Platform is designed for creators to build and manage online businesses; therefore, using it for unintended purposes is strictly prohibited (e.g., hosting high-volume files for external use or attempting to reverse-engineer our software). If your usage significantly exceeds the norms for a school of your size and plan type, we may reach out to discuss a more suitable plan or, if necessary, limit your access to protect our infrastructure.

6. Monitoring Your Usage

We encourage you to monitor your usage regularly and adjust your plan accordingly to avoid unexpected charges. While we may notify you if your usage approaches or exceeds your plan's included ranges, you are ultimately responsible for staying within your plan's limits regardless of whether you receive a notification from Teachable.

A note to our community:

Most creators who actively sell through Teachable will never need to think about this policy. It's here to ensure that the Platform remains fast, reliable, and fairly priced for everyone. If you have questions about your usage or this policy, we're always happy to help — just reach out to sales@teachable.com.
